The Palestinian Ambassador believes that Vietnam's participation in the Peace Council on the Gaza Strip will make a positive contribution to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

On June 23, at the National Assembly House, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man received the Palestinian State Ambassador Saadi Salama to say goodbye on the occasion of the end of his term of office in Vietnam.

At the reception, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man congratulated Ambassador Saadi Salama on excellently completing his term as State Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Vietnam and the role of Head of the Diplomatic Corps in Hanoi, highly appreciating the Ambassador's closeness and deep understanding of Vietnamese history and culture, the role of bridge, consolidating the good traditional friendly relations between Vietnam and Palestine, as well as the cohesion and effective operation of the Diplomatic Corps in Hanoi.

Congratulating the State and people of Palestine for successfully organizing the recent local elections, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that this is an important event, contributing to consolidating solidarity and building the State of Palestine in the coming time.

On behalf of the Party, State and National Assembly leaders of Vietnam, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man shared the current difficulties of the Palestinian people, affirming that within its capabilities, Vietnam is always ready to support the righteous struggle of the Palestinian people; affirming that in its role as a legislative and supervisory body, the National Assembly of Vietnam always supports the Government, ministries, branches, and localities to promote cooperation in many fields with Palestine.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his belief that in the coming time, with his extensive experience, Ambassador Saadi Salama will continue to contribute to further promoting the traditional relationship and friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Palestine, and at the same time, promote the cooperative relationship between the National Assembly of Vietnam and Palestine through legislative experience exchange, supervision, and the establishment of the Friendship Parliamentary Association and the Young Friendship Parliamentary Association.

Ambassador Saadi Salama expressed his honor for having been attached to the country and people of Vietnam for more than 40 years.

The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Chairman of the National Council (Parliament) of Palestine to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, thanking the Party, State, Government and National Assembly of Vietnam for their steadfast support for the Palestinian people, considering this a strong and meaningful source of inspiration for the cause of struggle for independence of the Palestinian people.

The Ambassador of the State of Palestine thanked and highly appreciated Vietnam's participation in the Peace Council on the Gaza Strip, believing that Vietnam's participation will make a positive contribution to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, towards a long-term and sustainable solution to the Palestinian issue on the basis of 2 States.

Ambassador Saadi Salama affirmed that in any position, he will always have special affection and look towards Vietnam, wishing Vietnam to continue to achieve new successes in the cause of national development, and at the same time contribute to promoting and strengthening cooperative relations between Vietnam and Palestine in particular and Arab countries in general.

The Ambassador respectfully thanked the National Assembly and relevant Vietnamese agencies for their companionship and support for the Ambassador personally and the Palestinian State Embassy in Hanoi to successfully complete their tasks in the past time.
