On the evening of April 26, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held a ceremony and art program with the theme "50 years of resounding the festival" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Provincial Liberation Day (April 27, 1975 - April 27, 2025).
Attending the ceremony were General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Minister of National Defense; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh - Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh - Vice Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee; Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang - Commander of Military Region 7 along with leaders and former leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City provinces and many cadres, soldiers and people in the area.
The program includes celebrations; a special art program combined with drone light performance, 3D mapping technology, laser... and high-altitude fireworks display that attracted a large number of people to watch.
According to the provincial People's Committee, the program is to affirm the stature of the historic victory of 30.4 in general; and the victory of the army and people of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in particular in the struggle for national liberation. At the same time, propagating, educating and reviewing the patriotic tradition, revolution, the spirit of great unity, pride and self -reliance and self -reliance of the nation.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Minister of National Defense - highly appreciated the united heart of the army and people of Ba Ria - Vung Tau in the resistance war against the US to save the country, united heart to build and protect the fatherland.
"After 50 years of construction and development, from a disadvantaged locality with a small economic scale, Ba Ria - Vung Tau has risen strongly, affirming its position and driving force for economic development in the Southeast region and the whole country, with a high growth rate of 11.72%, synchronously invested in transport infrastructure...", General Phan Van Giang commented.
To join the whole country in entering an era of rising up, developing richly and prosperously, General Phan Van Giang suggested that Ba Ria - Vung Tau continue to focus on 6 key tasks in the coming time.
It is continuing to promote the spirit of patriotism, solidarity and heroic historical tradition of the nation, maximize the potential and advantages, reaching out to the sea to become rich and strong; Breakthrough in digital transformation, innovation and application of science and technology; Strengthen solutions to clear and promote strong resources and advantages to accelerate economic growth, focus on building coastal tourism urban chains; Basic and comprehensive renovation of education and training to meet the needs of high quality human resources, develop high quality health services to serve people; Continuing to effectively implement the work of building and regulating the Party, associated with promoting learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, resolutely fighting against corruption, wastefulness and negative; Strengthen defense potential, maintain political stability and social order and safety ...
"I am confident that in the new historical period, the spirit and revolutionary tradition of Ba Ria - Vung Tau will continue to be strongly promoted, contributing worthyly to the construction of a strong, prosperous Vietnam, firmly moving towards socialism," General Phan Van Giang emphasized.
On this occasion, the provincial leaders also presented representatives of 20 gifts of gratitude to delegates who are revolutionary veterans, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces... attending the ceremony directly.
