On July 1, the new Tuyen Quang province (after merging with Ha Giang province) officially came into operation with a two-level government apparatus.
According to the decision of the Politburo, Mr. Hau A Lenh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the old Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the new Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee.
The Politburo also appointed 4 new Deputy Secretaries of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee, including Ms. Le Thi Kim Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Son - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Phan Huy Ngoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Ma The Hong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
Also according to the Decision of the Politburo, the new Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee consists of 65 people. The members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee include 22 people.
In Decision No. 1327/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed personnel to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province for the new term 2021 - 2026, including:
Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, member of the Standing Committee of the old Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, Permanent Vice Chairman of the old Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
Mr. Hoang Gia Long, member of the Standing Committee of the old Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, Permanent Vice Chairman of the old Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
Ms. Vuong Ngoc Ha, member of the Standing Committee of the old Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term, Vice Chairman of the old Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
After the merger, Tuyen Quang province has 124 administrative units at the commune and ward levels, including 7 wards and 117 communes, with a natural area of 13,795.50 km2, and a population of 1,865,270 people.
