On the afternoon of June 24, the National Assembly discussed the results of monitoring the settlement of voters' petitions sent to the 8th Session.
Delegate Huynh Thi Phuc (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) stated that the implementation progress and results of resolving difficulties and problems in management, payment, and settlement of resources and policies for the COVID-19 prevention and control force have not been completely resolved.
According to the delegate, the legitimate aspirations of cadres, medical staff, militia, police, and non-public forces who have participated in the work of preventing and fighting the COVID-19 epidemic have not yet received the benefits and support as set out in the policy, and have not even had their documents approved.
The delegate suggested that the National Assembly and the Government continue to pay attention to and direct ministries and branches to organize the implementation of policies and resolutions through specific actions, review regulations that are still stuck, and have more specific, clear and synchronous guiding documents for smooth and smooth implementation.
Addressing the discussion session, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong requested the Minister of Health to directly respond to this issue.
"I request that Minister Dao Hong Lan provide information on settlement of regimes for those who directly participate in fighting the COVID-19 epidemic. Three years after the epidemic ended, Resolution 99 of the National Assembly was also issued. How far is the progress now and I would like the Minister to tell me when it will be completed? ", said the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.

Regarding this issue, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan said that regarding allowances and regimes related to COVID-19 control for medical staff working in epidemic prevention, in the past time, the Government has implemented many policies to ensure the regime.
Regarding the budget to support localities, based on the synthesis of the missing budget and sent to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Finance will send it directly to localities for implementation.
Up to now, according to statistics sent by the Ministry of Health from localities, there is no content mentioning the issue of payment for the staff working in COVID-19 prevention.
"We have submitted 3 submissions 1301, 233, 551 and have now consulted all localities to synthesize specific problems and propose solutions," the Minister informed.
The Minister also said that there is currently no mechanism to resolve these contents according to the provisions of law, including civil law.
Therefore, during the synthesis process, the ministry also received the numbers sent by localities and on that basis, synthesized them into policies and plans for implementation, and asked for opinions from ministries and branches.
The Minister said that he would report to the National Assembly Standing Committee before submitting it to the Government for promulgation in accordance with the provisions of law.
Running the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong suggested that the Minister of Health should try to do it as soon as possible. The locality has high expectations for settlement and legalization of public assets that organizations and individuals contribute to epidemic prevention.
