On the afternoon of June 24, the National Assembly discussed the results of monitoring the settlement of voters' petitions sent to the 8th Session.
Delegate Nguyen Thi Viet Nga (Hai Duong Delegation) said that the problem of counterfeit and poor quality goods is increasingly becoming a special concern for voters nationwide.
A series of cases have been discovered on a large scale, with increasingly high severity, showing that this problem is no longer an isolated phenomenon but is becoming a serious challenge in socio-economic life.
And most seriously, the problem of counterfeit and scrap goods also erodes people's trust, violates ethical standards in business and in social life.
According to the delegate, when the fake takes the throne, the real is pushed back; when the lie is tolerated, it will spread as a lifestyle, forming the habit of taking pictures, lying, indifference, and defying all rules to make a profit.
That is a long-term danger, an extremely dangerous impact on social morality, cultural lifestyle, affecting all aspects of the country's development. This needs to be clearly identified to have a solid solution.
According to the delegate, in the past time, there has been a drastic participation of functional forces, many serious cases of counterfeit and poor quality goods have been detected and strictly handled. Voters welcomed, acknowledged and agreed with that result.
However, voters and people are still concerned about the role and responsibility of the public service team in the inspection and supervision work for how long this phenomenon has occurred widely and widely.
The delegate wondered whether there would be a situation of " kidnapping and abandoning the disc" when the peak campaigns ended, and the situation of counterfeit goods production and trading would continue to recur like before the peak campaigns.
"Is there any indifference, even condoning, or cover-up within the task force as in some cases discovered in the past? ", the delegate stated.
Therefore, the delegate believes that the tracing of counterfeit goods needs to be carried out regularly, continuously, and actively nationwide.
Preventing and combating counterfeit, un ordered and poor quality goods is not only the task of the industry and trade sector or market management forces, but also requires close coordination of the entire political system and active participation of the people.
More importantly, it is also the issue of public ethics, ethics in business, so that each cadre performing the task, each producer, each enterprise is imbued with a sense of responsibility, honor, and self-respect in labor.
Delegate Tran Thi Thanh Huong (An Giang Delegation) commented on the shortcomings in handling noise violations. Noise not only causes temporary discomfort but also negatively affects the quality of life.
This is an issue that has been raised for a long time and local ministries and branches also focus on directing the handling of violations. However, the thorough handling and resolution still have many difficulties, noise pollution still exists, causing many concerns for the people.
Pointing out the problems in handling, the delegate suggested more synchronous and drastic solutions. The delegate suggested that central ministries and branches study the systematization of legal regulations related to the issue of noise pollution.
