On July 30, in Hanoi, the National Assembly Standing Committee organized the "National Assembly Forum on Supervisory Activities 2026".
Expressing his opinion at the forum, delegate To Ai Vang - Deputy Head of the Specialized Delegation of the National Assembly Delegation of Can Tho City - said that in the past time, the financial - monetary market in general and the gold, jewelry, and gemstone market in particular have shown extremely complex developments.
This not only seriously infringes upon the legitimate rights and interests of the people but also undermines confidence in national brands, directly affecting the credibility of the Government's macroeconomic management.
The Deputy Head of the Specialized Delegation of the National Assembly Delegation of Can Tho City proposed that the 16th National Assembly should supervise and clarify the inter-ministerial and inter-sectoral responsibilities for gold bars, the gold market management institution and the independent inspection mechanism.

The results of supervision must be a mandatory basis for the National Assembly to request the Government to quickly complete the legal corridor such as issuing decrees and circulars to tighten the management of the gold market, increase the framework for sanctioning administrative violations and criminal handling for acts of counterfeiting gold and gemstones" - Delegate To Ai Vang emphasized.
Meanwhile, at the forum, Mr. Le Hoang Chau - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Association (HoREA) - cited the Supreme Supervision of the National Assembly related to social housing development and the real estate market in 10 years (2013 - 2023) as an important milestone.
Through this supervision activity, the National Assembly has made strong policies to remove difficulties for the market, including resolutions related to social housing development, removing obstacles for real estate projects and handling land backlogs.
From practical inadequacies, HoREA Chairman proposed that in the period 2026 - 2027, the National Assembly should focus on supervising the organization of law enforcement.
In addition, it is possible to strengthen thematic supervision of processes and administrative procedures in economic sectors, including the real estate market.
Also at the forum, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Nguyen Xuan Truong acknowledged that the Party's inspection, the National Assembly's supervision, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, inspection, audit, procuracy and other power control mechanisms have different scopes and methods of implementation.
But the above activities all aim for the common goal of ensuring that all state powers are exercised in accordance with the Constitution and laws, preventing, detecting, and promptly handling violations, and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of national governance.

From practice, the Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission believes that it is necessary to continue to improve the institution, ensuring the full and timely institutionalization of the Party's guidelines on judicial reform and building a socialist rule-of-law state.
In the new conditions, this leader said that inspection and supervision work needs to continue to strongly shift from inspection according to procedures to inspection and supervision based on data, digitized information and output results; strengthen the ability to analyze, forecast, and warn early of violation risks.
Inspection and supervision work also needs to focus on sensitive areas that are prone to corruption, negativity, and group interests such as investigation, prosecution, adjudication, judgment enforcement, forensic examination, asset valuation, asset auction, notarization and judicial support activities.
