Standing Deputy Prime Minister requests urgent investigation into the cause of the fire that killed 3 people in the same family in Ho Chi Minh City.

Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has just signed and issued Official Dispatch 11/CD-TTg dated February 5, 2026 on the fire at a resident's house at address C65 Bis, Alley 17, To Ky Street, Dong Hung Thuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

At about 0:53 on February 5, a fire occurred at address C65 Bis, Alley 17, To Ky Street, Dong Hung Thuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, killing 3 people in the same family.

On behalf of the Government and the Prime Minister, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh sent his regards and deep condolences to the relatives and families of the victims and gave the following directing opinions:

Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee directs the organization of thoughtful and timely visits, encouragement, material and spiritual support, creating the best conditions for the victim's family; closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security to urgently investigate the cause of the fire, clarify the responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals; strictly handle violations (if any) according to the provisions of law.

Ministers of Public Security, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and cities continue to strictly implement the Prime Minister's directives on fire prevention and fighting, especially Directive No. 01/CT-TTg dated January 3, 2023 on strengthening fire prevention and fighting in the new situation.

Focus on propaganda, guidance, and rectification of compliance with regulations on fire prevention and fighting safety, especially at establishments and works with high fire and explosion risks.

Arrange forces and vehicles to promptly organize firefighting, rescue, and relief for fire and explosion incidents, minimizing damage to people and property, especially during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
