At the ceremony, authorized by the President, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh - Deputy Head of the Office of the President announced the President's decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission to hold the position of Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, and at the same time promote his military rank from Senior Lieutenant General to General;
