On December 16, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Council - People's Committee, the XV National Assembly Delegation of Hung Yen province held a meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) and summarize the work of the XV National Assembly term.
The conference was attended by Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Nguyen Van Yieu - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Lam Van Man - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council; along with leaders and former leaders of central ministries, departments, and branches and National Assembly Committees.
At the conference, delegates reviewed the 50-year journey of formation and development of the National Assembly of Vietnam - the highest representative body of the People, the highest state power body. Right from the first General Election on January 6, tracing the foundation for the People's Democratic State, voters of Hung Yen province have actively participated in the election of the First National Assembly. After 15 General Elections, Hung Yen province has 516 National Assembly deputies elected by voters, representing the will and aspirations of the People, participating in deciding on important issues of the country.

During the 15th National Assembly term (2021-2026), the National Assembly Delegation of Hung Yen province with 15 delegates innovated their methods of operation, improving professionalism, democracy, modernity and efficiency.
The delegation contributed ideas to 142 draft laws; organized 13 thematic supervision contents, 19 surveys; participated in 66 questioning sessions at the parliament; organized over 33 meetings with voters with more than 45,000 attendees, promptly synthesized, recommended and monitored the resolution of issues of concern to voters.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh said that the 15th National Assembly is a special, historic term with the largest workload ever and many decisions of long-term strategic significance.
The National Assembly has made many strong innovations in legislative activities, supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country; including amending and supplementing the 2013 Constitution, reorganizing the state apparatus, administrative units and implementing the two-level local government model in the direction of streamlining, efficiency, closeness to the people, and closer to the people.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that the National Assembly Delegation of the province continue to be proactive, closely following reality, promptly proposing and recommending to local Party committees and authorities in concretizing and effectively organizing the implementation of laws and resolutions of the National Assembly; at the same time, emphasizing the merger of Hung Yen province and Thai Binh province to open up historical opportunities, creating new development momentum for the locality.
At the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Huu Nghia affirmed that the Party Committee, government and people in the province always acknowledge and highly appreciate the results of the activities of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation through the courses, actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
