On August 15, in Hanoi, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong attended a meeting on the coordination of the implementation of the National Assembly's foreign affairs activities from now until the end of 2025.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong stated that national defense and foreign security are regular and important tasks, and are a major front contributing to the socio-economic development of the country in general.
According to Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, the Politburo recently issued Resolution No. 59 - NQ/TW on international integration in the new situation, as one of the "four resolutions on strategic development" of the country in the new era.
Emphasizing that the National Assembly's foreign affairs is one of the pillars of Vietnamese diplomacy, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly noted that from now until the end of the year, there will be many foreign affairs activities of the National Assembly, so preparation and coordination are very important.
At the meeting, delegates listened to Deputy Chairman of the National Defense, Security and External Affairs Committee Don Tuan Phong present the Report on the focus of the National Assembly's foreign affairs work from now until the end of 2025; Reports from the National Assembly Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the implementation of activities.
At the same time, many solutions were proposed to improve the quality and effectiveness of the coordination in implementing the foreign affairs activities of the National Assembly.
