On the morning of April 2nd, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave its 3rd opinion on the preparation for the First Session of the 16th National Assembly.
Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Manh said that the total working time of the National Assembly is expected to be 11 days with 2 sessions.
In which, the National Assembly works 1 Saturday of the first week (April 11); the break time between 2 sessions is 8 days for agencies to receive and revise draft laws and resolutions. The session opens on the morning of April 6, and is expected to close on April 24.
Regarding the method of conducting organizational and personnel work at the session, the Standing Committee of the Committee for Delegation Affairs has developed 2 options (no discussion at the delegation and discussion at the delegation) to implement the organizational and personnel work program.

The National Assembly Office will continue to coordinate with the Standing Committee of the Delegate Affairs Committee to prepare content to report to the National Assembly for consideration and decision on this issue at the preparatory session on the afternoon of April 5.
Through review, the National Assembly Office found that to date, there are still some other important contents that need to be submitted to the National Assembly at the First Session to immediately implement resolutions and conclusions of competent authorities.
According to the report, it includes the National Assembly's Resolution on cultural development of Vietnam; the National Assembly's Resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai City directly under the Central Government.
At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung said that the Government is closely coordinating with agencies to fully prepare dossiers and personnel lists to submit to the National Assembly at the First Session, the 16th National Assembly, ensuring democracy, strictness, and compliance with regulations.
Concluding this content, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that in phase 1, 3 days will be spent on personnel work, 3 days on discussing laws and resolutions. After that, the National Assembly will take a week off, and then continue to hold phase 2 meetings.

According to the National Assembly Chairwoman, on the morning of April 5, National Assembly delegations will meet to elect Heads of Delegations. In the afternoon of the same day, the National Assembly will hold a preparatory session to approve the plan to implement the program of organizational and personnel work.
Regarding dossiers and documents, the National Assembly Chairwoman emphasized that it is necessary to ensure sufficient conditions and quality. The Ethnic Council, the Committees of the National Assembly, and functional agencies need to preside over, proactively monitor, urge, and organize serious research and appraisal.
Emphasizing that the preparation for the First Session of the 16th National Assembly must be detailed and thorough, the National Assembly Chairman requested the Secretary General and the Chairman of the National Assembly Office to carefully review the contents for arrangement.
On the morning of April 6, delegates will gather at the Mausoleum and pay respects to President Ho Chi Minh.
