At 11:25 am on March 15, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man - Chairman of the National Election Council - and National Assembly leaders visited the Press Center for Election of National Assembly Deputies of the 16th term and People's Council Deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
The National Assembly Chairwoman encouraged and acknowledged the efforts of journalists and reporters who worked day and night to bring information about the election to voters and people.
Through monitoring the activities of the press in recent months, from television, written newspapers, online newspapers, radio, to propaganda forms, press agencies have created a very large spread in society about the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels.
The National Assembly Chairman said that he has read many impressive and in-depth articles. These are journalistic works that are both theoretical and highly closely linked to reality in this election.
Through this election, it will continue to demonstrate the capacity, qualifications, intelligence and bravery of the team of journalists, including reporters, editors, and technicians in all press agencies from central to local levels.
According to the National Assembly Chairwoman, today (March 15) is the day the whole people go to vote, but the work has not yet ended. Agencies and units need to continue to implement Directive 46 of the Politburo and Conclusion No. 03 of the Secretariat, continue to pay attention to monitoring and closely directing to ensure the election takes place successfully and well.
In addition to the information and propaganda work of press and media agencies that has been deployed synchronously and effectively, the sub-committees serving the election, especially the Security and Order Sub-committee, have well performed the task of ensuring absolute safety for the election. In recent days, officers and soldiers of the army and police forces have made efforts and responsibilities, completing the assigned tasks well.
The most important thing is the consensus between the Party's will and the people's hearts. People across the country express excitement, enthusiasm, and look forward to the election day to exercise the right to mastery, the right to vote and the sacred duty of citizens," the National Assembly Chairwoman emphasized.
National Assembly leaders also said that in these days, everyone is reminded of the event 80 years ago - the first General Election of Vietnam in 1946.
This election will select truly worthy people, with virtue, talent, qualifications, capacity, heart and vision to contribute to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland, bringing the country into a new era of development, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.
On the occasion of visiting the Press Center, the National Assembly Chairwoman shared the hardships and efforts of the team of reporters, editors, and technicians when they had to stay up late and wake up early, and produce many news and articles to promptly reflect the election atmosphere.
The National Assembly Chairwoman expressed her wish that journalists continue to overcome difficulties and, together with the entire Party, people, and army, successfully complete the assigned tasks.
Next, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh - Member of the National Election Council - said that as of 11:20 am on the same day, 31/34 provinces and cities nationwide reached a voter turnout rate of over 50%. Among them, Ha Tinh province is leading with a voter turnout rate of 91.64%. Every 10 minutes, this number will change.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that through the updated electronic board, it can be seen that this election has achieved many positive results, in which the application of information technology and promoting national digital transformation right from the grassroots level are prominent.
Thanks to that, information from localities is transmitted quickly and smoothly, helping to monitor the progress of elections nationwide in a timely manner.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, the electronic board system allows detailed updates to each constituency; where 100% of voters participate in voting will be displayed in blue on the system.
Thanks to this, the Organizing Committee can closely monitor the election progress to each village and commune, and at the same time clearly feel the excited and exciting atmosphere of voters nationwide on the great festival of the nation.
