On September 9, Lao Dong Newspaper's source said that Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has directed the Department of Home Affairs to review the implementation of policies and regimes for officials, civil servants, public employees and employees in the process of arranging the organizational structure according to Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP dated December 31, 2024 of the Government (Decree 178), at the request of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Previously, the State Audit Office of Vietnam reported to the Prime Minister on the audit results of the implementation of policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees in the process of arranging the organizational structure according to Decree 178 and Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP of the Government.
Through auditing, this agency has pointed out many violations and errors in the appraisal, approval and implementation of policy payments for cases of retirement.
In Gia Lai, the State Audit of Vietnam listed 3 cases approved for resignation and early retirement on the grounds of "not meeting task requirements, not meeting training qualifications according to professional standards of the job position currently held after arrangement".
However, the personal records and the results of assessing the level of task completion in the next 3 years of these cases all show that they have completed their tasks well or better.
The State Audit Office also pointed out 5 cases of being dismissed and enjoying benefits according to Decree 178 that are not consistent with regulations for the case: "Civil servants holding leadership and management positions in units directly affected by arrangement but the number of leading and management civil servants is not higher than regulations". In the last 3 years, from 2022 to 2024, all 5 cases were assessed as completing their tasks well.
The State Audit Office pointed out 3 cases approved for retirement according to regulations that are not consistent with regulations for cases: "Early retirement for subjects working in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions but have not reviewed the number of years of working in this area to be eligible for retirement".
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Home Affairs said that the State Audit Office requested the locality to review 8 cases of retirement according to Decree 178. Currently, the Department is implementing the review, no results yet.
Initially, the Department of Home Affairs will review 8 cases at the request of the State Audit Office, report the results to the Provincial People's Committee for the province to report to the Ministry of Home Affairs before September 15. After that, the Department will continue to comprehensively review the remaining cases of retirement according to Decree 178.
After the merger, Gia Lai province approved the list of subjects and funds for implementing policies and regimes for early retirement and resignation according to Decree 178 and Decree 67 for 3,354 people. In which, the Party and mass organization bloc has 494 people; the government bloc has 2,860 people.
