At the session, after reviewing the Submissions of the City People's Committee, the Inspection Reports of the City People's Councils, and the draft Resolution submitted by the Secretary of the session, the City People's Council delegates voted and unanimously approved 3 thematic resolutions.
These are the Resolutions: Adjusting the City's Medium-term Public Investment Plan for the period 2021-2025; Adjusting the City's Public Investment Plan for 2025 and the investment policy for the project to build a road connecting National Highway 5 with National Highway 10, Vinh Bao town bypass, Vinh Bao district.
In particular, the project to invest in the construction of a road connecting National Highway 5 with National Highway 10, the Vinh Bao town bypass section, will build a new route about 8 km long connecting National Highway 10, National Highway 37 to the city center, helping to reduce traffic volume on National Highway 10 through Vinh Bao town. At the same time, gradually complete the basic system of transport infrastructure in Vinh Bao district in particular and Hai Phong city in general; form space, develop urban infrastructure, attract domestic and foreign investment capital to invest in economic development in the area; create a premise to promote the city's socio-economic development.
Speaking at the closing session, Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap stated that the 27th session of the 16th City People's Council, which ended at a historic moment, is the last session of the current Hai Phong City People's Council. Since the beginning of the term, the City People's Council has held 27 sessions and issued 436 resolutions. Each resolution is a crystallization of the intelligence, political courage, closeness to reality and listening to the thoughts and aspirations of voters and people. The approved decisions have contributed significantly to making Hai Phong the only locality in the country to maintain double-digit economic growth for 10 consecutive years; social security is always at a high level, leading the country.
With the resolutions passed at this session, Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap requested the City People's Committee, the Committees, Delegation groups and the City People's Council delegates to urgently organize implementation in accordance with regulations, authority and ensure effectiveness.
