Ca Mau Provincial People's Council holds first session after merger

Ca Mau - Immediately after the two-level government came into operation, on the morning of July 1, the People's Council of Ca Mau province held its first session.

The first session of the People's Council of Ca Mau province, term X, 2021 - 2026, opened at 7:30 a.m. on July 1.

At the session, the People's Council of Ca Mau province announced the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on appointing Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Heads of Committees of the Provincial People's Council; Announcing the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council on appointing members of the Provincial People's Committee; Announcing the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council on approving Deputy Heads of Committees of the Provincial People's Council; Establishing Committees of the People's Council of Ca Mau province, term X, 2021 - 2026; Establishing the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Ca Mau province; Submission and draft Resolution on the plan to organize regular meetings of the People's Council of Ca Mau province for the last 6 months of 2025.

The Provincial People's Council also considered the Submission and draft Resolutions on the establishment of specialized agencies of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province.

Notably, in the first session, delegates considered the level of support for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers from Bac Lieu to Ca Mau working due to the merger of provinces.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai emphasized that this is an important meeting to perfect the entire operating apparatus of the government. The Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee also suggested that immediately after the resolutions take effect, it is necessary to immediately get to work.
