Towards a centrally-governed city by 2030
Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Secretary Nghiem Xuan Thanh emphasized that Khanh Hoa province is entering a new phase with the determination to grow the economy, collect the budget and average income per capita to continuously reach double digits in the next 10 years.
According to Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Khanh Hoa's goal is to become a centrally-governed city by 2030, or even sooner if conditions are favorable.
According to the orientation, Khanh Hoa identifies four development pillars: Industry, energy, tourism - services - logistics and high-tech agriculture.
In which, the marine economy is considered the foundation for growth. Power Plan VIII also determines that Khanh Hoa will have a capacity of 20,000 - 25,000 MW of electricity by 2030, mainly from clean energy.
In addition, two nuclear power projects in the area formerly under Ninh Thuan, now located in Khanh Hoa, have been approved by the Politburo and the National Assembly.
The advantage of deep-water waters that are less affected by major storms is a favorable condition for the province to develop high-tech aquaculture, opening up new directions in the local economic structure.
According to the provincial leaders, Khanh Hoa's new industrial plan is expected to expand the area to 60,000 hectares.
Currently, the total area of the province's industrial parks is only about 1,000 hectares, so there is still a lot of room for development and attracting investors.
The presence of many leading investors at this conference shows the special attraction of Khanh Hoa in the industrial sector.
Not only that, Khanh Hoa is the only province to simultaneously enjoy two resolutions of the National Assembly on specific policy mechanisms, helping to create a legal framework and an open mechanism, favorable for businesses and investors.
