On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025), on behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Minister of National Defense sent a letter to all officers, employees and soldiers who have been working in the military medical sector with warmest greetings and best wishes.
The letter of General Phan Van Giang stated: Over the past 70 years, under the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and Party committees and commanders at all levels; receiving the attention and enthusiastic support of Party committees, authorities and people in localities; the close and effective coordination of agencies and units inside and outside the Army; cadres, employees, trainees and soldiers in the military sector have recorded the words of Uncle Ho "The good doctor must be a good mother at the same time", promoting the good nature and glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army and the Vietnamese doctors, solidarity, creativity, self-reliance, proactiveness in overcoming all difficulties and hardships, promoting research, application of science, closely combining traditional medicine with traditional medicine, performing the task of collecting, protecting and treating the health of the people, performing the task of national defense and health, performing public health, performing public service, and performing public service.
In particular, in 2024, comrades have provided the best military medicine to serve the exercises and activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day; participated in rescue, relief, emergency treatment, and health care for people affected by natural disasters and accidents in the countries and islands of the Fatherland, actively contributed to the cause of building the Army, consolidating national defense, and firmly defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and were awarded many noble awards by the Party and State.
In the letter, General Phan Van Giang commended and praised the achievements and efforts of the Military-Civilian forces over the past 70 years.
