Preparations for the election of 16th National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels, term 2026 - 2031 in the province are carried out with a focus on evaluating the implementation of preparation steps and identifying tasks that need to be focused on in the following period.
Accordingly, implementing the direction of the Central Government, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee, the competent authorities including the Provincial Election Committee, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Department of Home Affairs and relevant departments and branches advised on the issuance of a system of leadership documents, direction and organization of implementation of preparations for the election.
The Provincial Steering Committee for Elections and the Provincial Election Committee were established according to regulations; the first consultation conference was held to introduce candidates for the 16th National Assembly and People's Council delegates at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council issued a resolution on the expected structure, composition and allocation of the number of people recommended to run for the 18th Provincial People's Council; developing a plan for the expected units to elect National Assembly deputies in the province.
At the same time, it guides wards and communes to review the structure and personnel needs and complete the application for candidates for People's Council delegates at the commune level according to the Election Law and guiding documents.
The Provincial People's Committee issued many documents directing and organizing conferences to implement election work according to the plan of the Provincial Party Committee, ensuring the correct progress and requirements.
Based on the implementation results, the Provincial Election Committee continues to focus on directing, reviewing and issuing documents to serve the election tasks, including: election implementation plan, work schedule, notice of assignment of tasks to members and working regulations of the Provincial Election Committee.
The Provincial Election Committee established 5 subcommittees to serve the election, including: Subcommittee on handling complaints and denunciations; Subcommittee on information - propaganda; Subcommittee on ensuring security, order and social safety; Subcommittee on health and natural disaster prevention and control; Professional team to assist the Provincial Election Committee. The subcommittees will develop programs and plans and assign specific tasks.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the commune level continue to review and adjust the structure, composition, and number of people recommended for candidates. The Election Committees at all levels shall determine and announce the electing units, the list of electing units, and the number of People's Council delegates elected in each unit.
At the same time, the election committees of 16th National Assembly deputies and Provincial People's Council deputies for the 2026 - 2031 term were established; preparing to organize the second peace conference according to regulations.
