Confirming with the Labor Department, Mr. Pham Tan Tuyen - Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment said that 1,000 cadres applying for early retirement of the Ministry will be given specific instructions. As of March 10, 2025, the Ministry has resolved the regime leave according to the provisions of Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP for 3 cases.
Of the 1,000 cadres who applied for early retirement, 717 civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Ministry have submitted applications for retirement and 283 people have expressed their wish to retire (if they have funds).
Of these, 596 people have retired early (including 195 civil servants, 315 public employees and 86 workers); 121 people have quit their jobs (including 19 civil servants, 92 public employees and 10 workers); statistics as of March 6, 2025.
Of the total 717 civil servants, public employees, and workers, there is 1 leader at the head level of a unit under the Ministry, 6 deputy leaders of a unit under the Ministry, 65 department heads, 111 deputy department heads and equivalent titles under and under the Ministry.
According to Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy, the first and important goal in 2025 of the Ministry is to stabilize the organization of the apparatus and perfect regulations and rules on personnel work. The Ministry will continue to carry out the work of arranging the organization and apparatus in a more streamlined and efficient manner. After completing the merger and consolidation of units, stabilizing the organizational apparatus and assigning specific tasks to the leaders and staff of agencies and units under the Ministry is a prerequisite for implementing professional tasks.
In particular, the Ministry will focus on political and ideological work for cadres, civil servants and public employees in the process of restructuring the apparatus, with special attention paid to ensuring policies and regimes for cadres who voluntarily apply for early retirement or leave work. In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will continue to rearrange public service units and the apparatus of agencies under the Ministry to suit the new organizational model.
