President Luong Cuong welcomed the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives' official visit to Vietnam on the occasion of Vietnam's recent successful organization of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a congress of particular importance, opening a new era of development for the Vietnamese nation.
Recalling the good memories from the historic visit to Vietnam by King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, President Luong Cuong affirmed that the visit of the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives continues to create momentum for the relations between the two countries to develop strongly and more substantively.
On this occasion, President Luong Cuong sent his warm regards to King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein of Jordan.
Appreciating the positive developments in Vietnam - Jordan bilateral relations recently, especially after the visit of King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, President Luong Cuong affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always want to consolidate and improve the effectiveness of friendly cooperative relations with Jordan.
The President congratulated the successful results of the talks between the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives and Politburo Member, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, assessing that the two legislative bodies play a very important role in creating a legal corridor for the relations between the two countries.
Thanking President Luong Cuong for taking the time to receive the delegation, Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives Mazen Turki El Qadi congratulated the great achievements that Vietnam has achieved in the past time and respectfully conveyed greetings, greetings and New Year greetings from King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein to President Luong Cuong and senior leaders of Vietnam.
The Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives said that Jordan and the King personally highly appreciate Vietnam's role, position and fair stance in resolving regional and international issues.
Regarding bilateral relations, President Luong Cuong and Speaker of the Lower House of Jordan Mazen Turki El Qadi agreed that Vietnam and Jordan still have much room for cooperation based on political trust, historical similarities, peace value systems and aspirations for development.
To further promote the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries, the two leaders agreed that it is necessary to continue to promote political and diplomatic relations through delegation exchange activities at all levels, effectively implement existing cooperation mechanisms and consider establishing new cooperation mechanisms.
Regarding defense and security cooperation, President Luong Cuong and the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives agreed that the two countries need to continue to concretize agreed cooperation opportunities, strengthen contacts, exchange experiences and promote cooperation in areas where each side has strengths.
The two leaders also agreed on orientations to promote economic, trade, tourism, health, education cooperation, development of Halal industries and people-to-people exchanges.
