The STEM Innovation Petrovietnam program was implemented from the idea of General Secretary To Lam, officially launched from September 21, 2025, with the goal of completing and putting into operation 100 STEM practice rooms within 100 days in all 34 provinces and cities.
Thereby, contributing to the formation of a network of "nolences" of practical education, connecting and spreading knowledge nationwide. Lao Cai province has 3 educational institutions selected for implementation: Nguyen Hue High School, Cam Duong High School and Muong Khuong Secondary School.
STEM education practice rooms are synchronously equipped with modern equipment, built according to international standards and in accordance with the 2018 General Education Program, allowing interdisciplinary teaching and learning based on experience, practice and creative research.
At the ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group Tran Quang Dung affirmed that the implementation of the STEM education practice room system is considered the largest project implemented by enterprises in the field of practical education nationwide to date.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Deputy Prime Minister emphasized: In the context that we are focusing highly to firmly step into the new era, taking science and technology, innovation, digital transformation as development drivers.
The Deputy Prime Minister hopes that the STEM classroom will help change the thinking about "learning with the pickles", which will be a meaningful and practical space for students to have more opportunities to explore, experience, access knowledge, improve creativity and thinking skills to achieve breakthrough learning results.
The Deputy Prime Minister also requested the education sector, localities and schools to effectively exploit and use the project. At the same time, continue to pay attention to investing and replicating effective educational models, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education, meeting development requirements in the new period.
At the inauguration ceremony, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra presented souvenirs to Nguyen Hue High School. Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group awarded 30 scholarships to students of the school.
