STEM Innovation Petrovietnam is a program to concretize the Politburos resolutions on innovation and breakthroughs in education and training development.
This is a large-scale educational project, aiming to upgrade educational infrastructure, support the training of the young generation with scientific, technological, technical and Mathematical skills, demonstrating the determination of the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (Petrovietnam) in accompanying the country's high-quality human resource development strategy in the new period.
Accordingly, the STEM Innovation Petrovietnam program includes goals such as equipping Petrovietnam STEM room equipment to meet international standards, serving STEM/STEAM hands-on experience activities for teachers and students with modern technological equipment such as: AI, IoT, Robotics, digital transformation; organizing innovative, creative STEM education activities, scientific and technological research; building a STEM ecosystem to promote career guidance, startups, and career experiences according to technology 4.0.
In addition, the program combines the organization of training sessions, sharing experiences, promoting research in educational science, science and technology for teachers inside and outside the school; connecting and connecting domestic and international STEM departments (primarily with Singapore), with research departments in domestic universities and research institutes on training talented students and talented students.
With the determination to complete 100 STEM education practice rooms in 2025, right after the Launching Ceremony, the Petrovietnam Party Committee issued a plan to deploy the STEM education practice room system nationwide.
Accordingly, each province/city will be invested in 3 STEM practice rooms, including 2 rooms for high schools and 1 room for secondary schools, prioritizing difficult areas and border areas.
Up to now, Petrovietnam has completed 11 STEM rooms and has completed the survey, assessment and construction of a construction plan for 89 STEM rooms.
Currently, Petrovietnam is actively coordinating with relevant units, especially localities, to ensure the goals of building 100 STEM practice rooms, to be completed before December 31, 2025.
The special feature of the program is not only the goal of building modern classrooms, but also the thinking of creating an educational ecosystem: connecting STEM classrooms nationwide, while expanding international cooperation, first of all with the Singapore education system.
Develop a curriculum and lesson plans specifically for the STEM Innovation Petrovietnam system; organize teacher training, develop a team of Master trainers locally to maintain and spread the program.
From practical implementation, experts assessed that STEM Innovation Petrovietnam rooms have modern standards, equipped with the most advanced technology in the world, serving training in the direction of experience, creativity, and integration.
With careful and systematic preparation towards the above goals, STEM Innovation Petrovietnam is expected to be a bridge with the stem system of developed countries. That will be the basis for the team of teachers and students at the schools to contact, learn and grasp the knowledge of humanity.
At Cau Giay Secondary School (Hanoi), many students expressed that the place is very useful, helping them develop their intelligence and thinking ability, practice many interesting things, learn creativity and practice teamwork skills.
The school also recorded clear changes. Modern classrooms have helped improve integrated teaching skills, creating an environment to nurture creative scientific thinking for students.
Ms. Doan Thi Thanh Huong - Principal of Tay Mo Secondary School (Hanoi), considers this model a step to help shift from traditional classrooms to "borderless classes", creating conditions for students to connect and study internationally, expand their vision and build skills and abilities, becoming global citizens.
It can be said that STEM Innovation Petrovietnam is opening a new journey, where the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group not only provides energy, ensuring national energy security but also lights up knowledge energy sources - the strongest and most durable energy source, creating momentum for the countrys development future.
