Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen; Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, leaders of central ministries and branches and representatives of senior leaders from many domestic and international corporations, financial institutions and enterprises attended.
This is one of the key projects inaugurated and started to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), and at the same time marked the beginning of the process of building the International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc emphasized: Saigon Marina IFC is the first step in the roadmap to build the Ho Chi Minh City International Financial Center, a new development driver of the Vietnamese economy, contributing to the country's strong rise and deep integration with international friends.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, in the strategic vision and journey to form the Ho Chi Minh City International Financial Center, Saigon Marina IFC is a gathering place for intelligence, financial resources and technology. This will be the headquarters of major domestic and foreign financial institutions and corporations, and at the same time the origin of many initiatives and aspirations for startups to connect with Vietnam more deeply with the global economic flow.
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc pledged that the Government will continue to accompany and create a transparent and open investment environment, creating the most favorable conditions for strategic projects such as Saigon Marina to maximize their value and make practical contributions to the country's development. At the same time, he expressed his confidence that Saigon Marina will become a symbol of integration, a new hit of Saigon, contributing to putting Ho Chi Minh City on par with major financial centers in the region and the world.
Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung affirmed that the Saigon Marina IFC inauguration ceremony has a special meaning, both as a new architectural symbol on the banks of the Saigon River, and as a symbol of the city's determination and aspiration to rise up on the journey to become the financial center of the region.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of HDBank Bank shared: "Today, HDBank is honored with the entire banking and finance industry to inaugurate the Saigon Marina Tower with the first number of Ton Duc Thang Street, Saigon Ward in the Ho Chi Minh City Financial Center area. This will be a meeting place for banks, financial institutions, technology corporations, logistics with more than 10,000 experts working every day".
Ms. Thao also considered this event a testament to the strength, bravery and pioneering spirit of Vietnamese enterprises, and called on the business community to continue to promote capacity and innovation to join the country in a new stage of development, and integrate more deeply into the global economy.
Saigon Marina IFC is located in the Ba Son area, which was once associated with the history of the Saigon port industry and trade. This location is considered strategic as it is located close to the Saigon River bank and directly connects key trade axes such as Ton Duc Thang - Nguyen Hue, while facilitating travel to the central administrative and business areas.
The project is 55 stories above ground, 5 basements, with a total floor area of over 106,000 m2. The class A office area alone has occupied about 87,000 m2, combined with a shopping mall, hotel, conference space and many high-end amenities, meeting about 10,000 regular employees. The building also has a special advantage when directly connecting to Ba Son Station of Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien), applying the TOD urban model to help reduce road traffic and shorten travel time.
In terms of architecture, Saigon Marina IFC impresses with its 9-meter main hall, 34 smart elevators and a two-layered energy-saving glass roof. The highlight is the hanging garden from the 35th to 43rd floors, bringing green space in the center of the city. With environmentally friendly solutions, the project has achieved LEED Gold certification from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
The location right next to Ba Son Bridge also helps Saigon Marina IFC become an important connection point between the East and the center of Ho Chi Minh City. According to Resolution 222/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly, this is identified as one of the starting items for the strategy of building an International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City, providing high-quality premises and synchronous infrastructure, serving international business and financial activities.
