This morning (March 18), immediately after the ceremony to welcome the delegation of the Chinese Ministry of National Defense to Vietnam to attend the 10th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange program at Mong Cai international border gate (Quang Ninh province), the delegations of the Ministries of National Defense of Vietnam and China attended the groundbreaking ceremony of Hai Son Friendship Health Station.
The delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense was headed by General Phan Van Giang, Member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense. The delegation of the Chinese Ministry of National Defense was headed by Senior Lieutenant General Dong Jun, Minister of National Defense of China.
The presence of the Ministers of National Defense of Vietnam and China and delegates from the two countries at the groundbreaking ceremony of the project is a great source of encouragement; it is a good proof and symbol of the comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperation between Vietnam and China in the spirit of the 4 goods "Good neighbors, good friends, good comrades, good partners".
Welcoming the two Ministers and delegations of the two countries, a large number of people stood along both sides of the road waving flags and flowers, chanting slogans "Vietnam - China friendship, Vietnam - China solidarity".
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Colonel Vu Van Hung - Political Commissar of Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard, representative of the Investor - said: The Hai Son Friendship Health Station project, Quang Ninh province is a 2-story building, with a total floor area of 2,450m2, including 32 rooms with full functional areas: General medical examination and treatment, administrative area and auxiliary technical infrastructure.
This is a project of particular importance, improving the quality of health care and medical examination and treatment for officials, armed forces and people in the area.
The total estimated investment is 52 billion VND from the Ministry of National Defense's capital. The project will be implemented with the highest responsibility and progress, ensuring quality, and soon put into service for health care for border people in Hai Son commune.
On behalf of the Party Committee, government and local people, Mr. Le Van Cuong - Chairman of Hai Son Commune People's Committee - expressed his honor to welcome two Ministers of National Defense to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the Friendship Health Station project awarded by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense.
We are committed to closely coordinating with units to deploy construction on schedule, ensure quality, and soon put it into use to serve the people.
We promise to continue to promote the relationship of solidarity and friendship to build a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developing Vietnam-China border" - Mr. Cuong said.
The 10th Vietnam - China border defense friendship exchange took place on two days, March 18-19, in Quang Ninh province (Vietnam) and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).
The exchange program is an important defense foreign affairs activity, held annually in the border provinces of the two countries. The event is increasingly developing with many practical contents, contributing to deepening the relationship between the two countries and the two Armies.
