By March 17, the biggest bottleneck in site clearance for the construction project of Dong Van Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School (Dong Van commune, Tuyen Quang province) had been removed.
Dong Van Commune People's Committee has completed site clearance for 40 households whose land was recovered with a total cost of about 7.7 billion VND. With the propaganda, mobilization and drastic involvement of local authorities, people with land within the project area have understood and highly agreed.
This is one of the key projects on the list of urgent public investment according to Decision No. 215/QD-UBND of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee. The groundbreaking ceremony is expected to take place on March 19.
Along with Dong Van Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School, on March 19, 10 other inter-level boarding school projects in Lung Cu, Sa Phin, Thang Mo, Bach Dich, Can Ty, Nghia Thuan, Tung Vai, Thang Tin, Ban May, Lao Chai communes will also be simultaneously started.
Including 11 schools preparing to start construction, Tuyen Quang province has 17 inter-level boarding primary and secondary schools invested in construction. This is of great significance in helping to improve the quality of education in border areas, creating conditions for concentrated living and learning for students.
Currently, 6 inter-level boarding schools in Thanh Thuy, Minh Tan, Son Vi, Pho Bang, Xin Man and Pa Vay Su communes have been removed from difficulties in site clearance and terrain, and construction progress has been accelerated to be completed and put into use in the new school year 2026 - 2027.
The Thanh Thuy Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School project was started on August 19, 2025 with a total investment of more than 211 billion VND on an area of 3ha. Currently, the project progress has reached about 26%, the construction is carried out in 3 consecutive shifts, ensuring that the main items will be completed by August 2026.
Mr. Luong Van Doan - Director of the Project Management Board for Construction Investment of Tuyen Quang province said that for 6 inter-level boarding school projects that have been started, units are focusing maximum resources to accelerate construction progress.
Currently, all schools are focusing on construction with 3 shifts, 4 teams, exceeding all time to reach the finish line early. Currently, the management board is closely monitoring the progress, ensuring to complete the schools according to the signed contracts, and construction of these 6 schools will be completed by August 15 at the latest," Mr. Doan informed.
Regarding inter-level boarding school projects in the area, Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh affirmed that building schools in border communes has profound political - social and humanitarian significance.
The early completion and commissioning of schools will create a big impression, creating a full and best learning environment for children of ethnic groups in the area.
To ensure projects reach the finish line on schedule, Mr. Hau A Lenh requested relevant units to have solutions to accelerate project progress. In particular, it is necessary to strengthen coordination and remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of performing tasks.
