On October 1, at the National Assembly House, the National Assembly Office organized a conference on propaganda, training, and professional development of journalism on the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils, aiming to provide in-depth knowledge, improve the quality of political works, news, and articles on elected agencies, and propagate and popularize the 3rd Dien Hong Award in 2025.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong affirmed that, through two times of organization, the Dien Hong Award has affirmed the significance and strong influence of a national press award on the National Assembly and People's Councils.
The participating and awarded works comprehensively and deeply reflected the rich, vibrant and effective practical activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils, highlighting the role, position and contributions of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels to the common achievements of the country.
This training conference on journalism skills is organized to create favorable conditions for reporters and editors to share and exchange experiences and improve their professional skills.
At the same time, exploit in-depth knowledge about the position, role, organization and operation of the National Assembly and People's Councils in the political system; improve understanding of the purpose, meaning and regulations of the 3rd Dien Hong Award.
Secretary General of the National Assembly Bui Van Cuong stated that at the conference, experts, reporters, and editors will share and discuss five contents related to the profession of writing printed press works, organizing television and radio programs, as well as the functions, tasks, organization, and activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils - which are useful and practical knowledge for every journalist and reporter.
Therefore, Mr. Bui Van Cuong hopes that the lecturers will share the most fundamental issues and spend time discussing issues that reporters are interested in. Thereby, creating opportunities for reporters to follow the parliament to improve their skills and write more in-depth articles about the activities of elected bodies.
During the 1-day conference, delegates listened to presentations on 5 topics: Experience in writing political articles; functions, tasks, and powers of the National Assembly agencies; procedures for consideration and approval in law-making, supreme supervision, and decision-making on important national issues; experience in writing memoirs, reports, and investigative reports; experience in writing news and articles about the National Assembly and People's Councils; functions, tasks, and powers of People's Councils.
