On December 20, at the Government headquarters, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the 3rd national forum on digital economic and digital society development with the theme "Developing a comprehensive and inclusive digital economy and digital society; achieving the double-digit GDP growth target for the period 2026-2030".
In his opening speech, the Prime Minister assessed that the forum is of great significance in welcoming the 14th National Party Congress and the 11th Patriotic Emulation Congress; at the same time, shaping new directions, new tasks, and new goals for developing the digital economy and digital society.
These are two negative lines, two fields "one, two, one, two, although", if one field is developed, it will promote another field, if one field is not developed, it will hinder the other field and vice versa.
The Prime Minister stated that we have identified digital economic development to innovate the growth model, restructure the economy, improve productivity, competitiveness, build an inclusive and humane digital society, improve quality of life, equal access to services, narrow development gaps, promote cultural identity in the digital environment.
In the spirit of "digital economy is the driving force, digital society is the foundation, people are the center", in recent times, the Party, State, and Government have always paid attention to and proposed many policies, guidelines, mechanisms, and policies to promote the development of the digital economy and digital society.
The goal of the forum is not only to summarize and evaluate but also to discuss, analyze and propose breakthrough solutions for the development of the digital economy and digital society in the coming years.

The Prime Minister requested delegates to frankly and objectively assess and prove with specific data the current state of digital economic and digital society development in Vietnam, what are the outstanding results, where are we standing in the global technology value chain.
Let's share good experiences, valuable lessons, and creative ways in developing the digital economy and digital society, especially lessons from large technology corporations and leading localities so that we can replicate successful models.
At the same time, clearly identify the shortcomings, limitations, weaknesses, obstacles, barriers, and bottlenecks, especially in terms of institutions and policy mechanisms to deploy and develop cross-border digital services, taxes, intellectual property, and ensure network security...
In particular, clearly identify key and breakthrough tasks and solutions to promote strong development of the digital economy and digital society in the coming time; so that the digital economy can truly penetrate everyone, every home, every corner of the economy, in agriculture, industry, construction, services, environment, natural disaster and disease prevention.
"How to unblock bottlenecks in connection and data sharing? What specific mechanisms are needed to make Vietnam a cradle for innovative startups and new technology development?
What to do to build a civilized, inclusive digital society, leaving no one behind? How to mobilize and use social resources effectively, such as public investment, private investment, foreign investment, public-private partnership? ", the Prime Minister raised the issue.
According to the head of the Government, this is not a simple matter, but if there is a good way to go and do it, it will shorten time and save effort.
