On April 16, the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province issued a plan to collect opinions on voters and household representatives on the project of arranging administrative units at provincial and commune levels in the area.
The collection of voters and household representatives for the purpose of serving the People's Council meeting at all levels on the arrangement of administrative units in the area, ensuring publicity, democracy and law provisions.
According to the plan, the Department of Home Affairs of Lam Dong Province is the general agency of voters' opinions, household representatives, and reporting to Lam Dong People's Committee for the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial Standing Committee for opinions and unity in April.
According to Decision No. 759/QD-TTg dated April 14, approving the scheme of arranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a model of two-level local government organizations, Dak Nong province, Binh Thuan province and Lam Dong province into a new province called Lam Dong.
The new Lam Dong province will have the largest natural area in the country with 24,233km2, a population of 3,324,400 people.
The administrative and political center of Lam Dong province is located in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province today.
