Attending the meeting were Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council and representatives of departments, branches and sectors.
The report at the meeting showed that, with the flexible and drastic management of the Provincial People's Committee and the efforts of the entire political system, business community and people, Lang Son's socio-economic development in 2025 will continue to develop comprehensively.
Industrial production growth, 13/13 key industrial products increased compared to the same period, import and export achieved high customs clearance efficiency. State budget revenue exceeds the estimate. Many cultural and artistic activities associated with major political events are organized enthusiastically.

The work of arranging and streamlining the apparatus and implementing the 2-level local government model has been strictly implemented, ensuring continuous operation. The estimated economic growth rate in 2025 is 8.41%.
For 2026, the province sets an economic growth rate of 10-11%. GRDP per capita reached 78-79 million VND. Local export turnover increased by 10-11%. Total budget revenue is VND 9,850 billion.
Delegates also discussed and gave comments on the 5-year plan for 2026 - 2031, focusing on the contents of site clearance for the Dong Dang (Lang Son) - Tra Linh (Cao Bang) expressway and the Huu Nghi - Chi Lang (BOT) expressway; perfecting the 2-level government model, arranging the organization of the apparatus, public assets; promoting digital transformation of remote areas and economic structure, investing in border gate areas.
In his speech, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh highly appreciated the efforts and results of Lang Son, especially the positive economic growth, the economic structure shifted in the right direction, many targets exceeded the plan.
However, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also pointed out limitations such as small economic scale, low industrial added value, and difficulties in attracting investment and developing production.
Mr. Vu Hong Thanh suggested that the province speed up infrastructure development, improve the investment and business environment, expand industrial parks and clusters, the border gate economy, and speed up the progress of key projects.
On behalf of the locality, Provincial Party Secretary Hoang Van Nghiem received the direction, affirming that the province will complete the report to the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee before September 20, 2025, and resolutely direct key tasks, especially site clearance for the expressway project.
Before the meeting, the working group inspected the progress of the two expressway projects Dong Dang - Tra Linh and Huu Nghi - Chi Lang.
