On September 1, Can Tho City leaders held a visitation ceremony, offered flowers, burned incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at cemeteries in the area and visited President Ho Chi Minh Temple on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

At Tra Men Martyrs' Cemetery (Soc Trang Ward), a delegation led by Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council, and leaders of departments, branches, sectors and armed forces attended the visit.
At the same time, at My Xuyen Martyrs' Cemetery (My Xuyen Ward), the delegation led by Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, also respectfully offered incense and souvenir flowers.

In a solemn atmosphere, delegates expressed their deep gratitude to the outstanding children who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, and at the same time burned incense at each martyrs' grave.

After that, the city leaders, cadres, students and people of An Thanh commune visited President Ho Chi Minh Temple. The project was started in 1970, and was recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) as a National Monument to Celebrities in 2001.
After many restorations and renovations, in 2013, Uncle Ho Temple was officially inaugurated with a spacious appearance, becoming a red address, a destination for traditional education and tourism in Cu Lao Dung district, Soc Trang province, now An Thanh commune, Can Tho city.

On the same day, Mr. Tran Van Huyen, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee led the delegation to visit the Vi Thuy Commune Martyrs' Cemetery. Here, in front of the heroic martyrs, the delegation observed a moment of silence, offered flowers, offered incense to commemorate and express gratitude for the great contributions of previous generations who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
After the cemetery visit, the delegation continued to offer incense at the President Ho Chi Minh Temple in Luong Tam Commune, expressing their respect and gratitude to the beloved leader of the nation.
