Ho Chi Minh City - Ho Chi Minh City leaders offer flowers to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh city honored to bear Uncle Ho's name.

On the morning of July 1, a delegation of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City led by Politburo Member, Secretary of the City Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Tran Luu Quang offered flowers to President Ho Chi Minh at the President Ho Chi Minh Statue Park (Nguyen Hue Street, Saigon Ward), on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh city honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 - July 2, 2026).

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation respectfully offered flowers and commemorated President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero, the genius leader of the Party and people, and the outstanding cultural figure of Vietnam.

Before Uncle Ho's spirit, the delegation vowed to continue to unite and unanimously implement his will; promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; follow the example of revolutionary ethics, solidarity, will to serve the Fatherland, wholeheartedly for the people; promote the qualities of diligence, thrift, integrity, righteousness, impartiality and the bright international spirit, contributing to building Ho Chi Minh City to become increasingly developed, civilized, modern, and compassionate.

The flower offering activity is one of a series of key events of Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh city honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh.

According to the plan, on the morning of July 2nd, a national-level ceremony will take place to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Saigon - Gia Dinh city named after President Ho Chi Minh at the Reunification Hall.

On the same evening, a special television bridge program will be held with the main bridge point at the Reunification Hall and two auxiliary bridge points in the new city center area (Binh Duong ward) and Tam Thang Tower Square (Vung Tau ward).

On this occasion, Ho Chi Minh City also organized artistic fireworks displays at 16 locations at 9 pm on July 2nd.

On the evenings of July 1st and 2nd, people and tourists will enjoy an art performance combined with 3D Mapping technology performance in the area in front of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee headquarters (No. 86 Le Thanh Ton, Saigon ward).

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City also organizes many cultural, artistic and community activities such as walking together, exhibitions, displays, book introductions, and the "Dream Show" general circus - puppetry program... to create a vibrant atmosphere and spread pride in the 50-year journey of the city named after Uncle Ho.
