HCMC - The delegation of leaders of the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City visited and expressed condolences to the relatives of 8 victims of the Doc Lap residence fire.

On July 8, the delegation of leaders of the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City led by Mr. Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, visited the victims and their families in the fire at Doc Lap residence, Phu Tho Hoa ward (Ho Chi Minh City).

Accompanying the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Dang Minh Thong, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, along with leaders of the People's Committee - People's Council - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and local authorities.

At the Vinh Nghiem Pagoda Funeral Home and the Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital Funeral Home, Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen and the delegation burned incense to pay their respects to the victims; sent condolences, visits and encouragement to the relatives and families of the victims in the fire.

The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee directed local Party committees and authorities to coordinate with relevant agencies to continue to share and support the victims' families to care carefully after the death.

At the same time, support the victims' families in remaking burned documents and records to ensure legality in the future, especially related to inheritance of assets...

According to Ho Chi Minh City Police, on the evening of July 6, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH), Ho Chi Minh City Police received a report of a fire at Doc Lap residence.

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department quickly deployed forces and vehicles to the scene, together with Phu Tho Hoa Ward Police and related units to put out the fire, preventing the fire from spreading; 3 people were rescued by rescue forces to safety. The fire killed 8 people and burned down part of the apartment area along with some of the family's vehicles and belongings.
