On the morning of March 7, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting for February 2025.
Director of the Department of Finance Trinh Thanh Hai said that in February 2025, the province has promptly deployed preparations and services for the Lunar New Year 2025 with the goal of ensuring people celebrate the traditional New Year happily, healthily, safely and economically.
The socio-economic, national defense and security situation in the province has achieved some positive results.
State budget revenue in the area in the first 2 months of the year is estimated at VND 4,814 billion, reaching 27.2% of the estimate, equal to 106.6% of the same period in 2024. Of which, domestic revenue is estimated at 4,608 billion VND(reaching 28.8% of the estimate, equal to 109.5% of the same period). Revenue from import-export activities is estimated at 192 billion VND(reaching 11.8% of the estimate, equal to 63.5% of the same period).
Regarding the disbursement of the 2024 public investment plan, as of January 31, 2025, the 2024 public investment plan has disbursed 7,814.978 billion VND, reaching 84.47% of the plan assigned at the beginning of the year. Of which, public investment focused on disbursing 4,377.247 billion VND, reaching 91.37% of the plan assigned at the beginning of the year.
The province focuses on directing and urging units to speed up construction progress, ensuring progress and quality for key projects such as: Coastal road from Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa) - Cua Lo (Nghe An), section Km7 - Km76; Construction of a traffic road to the center of Nhon Mai and Mai Son communes, Tuong Duong district; Nam Dan town bypass road; Repairing roadbeds, surfaces, adding drainage and traffic safety systems on Provincial Road 534, section Km3+900 - Km10+400.
The Provincial People's Committee directs departments, branches, sectors and localities to seriously implement Directive No. 03/CT-TTg dated February 4, 2025 of the Prime Minister on key tasks after the Lunar New Year holiday in 2025.
The Index of Industrial Production (IIP) in February is estimated to increase by 13.85% compared to February 2024. In the first 2 months of the year, IIP is estimated to increase by 9.73% over the same period.
Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in February 2025 is estimated at 14,064.79 billion VND, up 21.49% over the same period last year.
Accumulated in the first 2 months of the year, total retail sales of goods reached 29,200.76 billion VND, up 52.23%. Export turnover of goods in February 2025 is estimated at 273.6 million USD, up 56.43% over the same period. Accumulated in the first 2 months of the year, export turnover reached 540.92 million USD, up 29.05%.
