On the afternoon of September 16, within the framework of the State visit to Vietnam, King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Queen visited Hanoi University and the Thai Cultural Center at the school.
Speaking to welcome, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Trao, Rector of Hanoi University, expressed the honor of the collective of lecturers and students to welcome the King and Queen of Thailand.
He emphasized that the event is a great driving force to promote Thai language and cultural training and bilateral student exchanges, and affirmed that the school is ready to promote its role as a bridge to contribute to strengthening relations between the two countries.
After the initial welcoming ceremony, the King and Queen spent time visiting the learning and research space of the Thai Cultural Center under Hanoi University.
King Maha Vajiralongkorn presented a meaningful souvenir to representatives of the Thai Language and Culture Center, expressing the deep concern of the Thai Royal Family for the work of preserving, teaching the language and promoting Thai identity in Vietnam.
The visit to the Thai Cultural Center at Hanoi University is the final activity to close the 3-day state visit (from September 14 to 16, 2026) of the King and Queen of Thailand to Vietnam.
