Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Official Dispatch No. 50/CD-TTg dated April 24, 2025, requesting ministries, branches and localities to strengthen the work of ensuring security and order (ANTT) during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.
According to electricity, the occasion of April 30 and 1.5 this year lasted 5 days; During this time, the whole country simultaneously took place many important events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, with the participation of numerous forces, international delegations and the Party and the State are implementing reforms, organizing organizations, apparatus, building two -level local governments.
Hostile forces can take advantage of these events to fight against the Party and the State, dividing the great national unity bloc. The demand for travel, sightseeing, tourism, and service use is increasing, posing a potential risk of complications in security and order, social safety, criminal offenses, social evils, and fire and explosion safety.
To serve the people during the holiday, the Prime Minister requested:
Ministries, branches and localities organize forces and means to be on duty regularly, effectively and substantially implement the Prime Minister's directives on ensuring security and order, fire prevention and fighting; promote the prevention and handling of activities using high technology in cyberspace to defraud and appropriate property.
The Ministry of Public Security directs to grasp the situation, not to be passive or surprised; absolutely protect the safety of key goals and projects, important political, economic, cultural, social and foreign events of the country, activities of Party and State leaders, and international delegations.
Strengthen management of key directions, routes, areas and subjects, promptly detect, prevent, and neutralize terrorist and sabotage activities; proactively prevent, detect, and fight against plots and sabotage activities of hostile forces; prepare response plans for complex incidents related to security and order, and social safety.
Organize reasonable traffic flow at crowded places and gateways to major cities.
Concentrate forces and means to attack and suppress all types of crimes, crack down on social evils, especially crimes using high technology, organizing gambling, organizing illegal use of drugs, criminals taking advantage of places where celebrations and tourist attractions take place.
The Ministry of National Defense organizes reconnaissance, supervision, grasps the situation in cyberspace, promptly takes response measures to activities affecting national defense and security.
Strengthen patrols and strictly control border areas, especially trails, openings, mountainous areas, rivers and streams, promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle illegal entry and exit.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee to direct news agencies, newspapers, and media to step up propaganda, disseminate skills, knowledge, and laws to ensure security, fire prevention, fire fighting, and social order and safety.
Closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security to proactively detect and prevent bad, toxic information that divides the great national unity bloc in cyberspace.
The People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities direct competent agencies and units to grasp the situation, proactively respond and resolutely prevent complications in security and order; develop and implement plans and strategies to ensure security and order in the area.
