At the 9th extraordinary session, on February 18, the National Assembly passed resolutions on the organizational structure of the Government, the structure of the number of Government members and personnel work to approve the appointment of ministers.
Mr. Do Duc Duy was approved to be appointed as Minister of Agriculture and Environment.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment was established on the basis of merging the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, basically inheriting the functions and tasks assigned to the two ministries and receiving the task of state management of poverty reduction from the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
Mr. Do Duc Duy was born in 1970, from Thai Binh, has a Master's degree in Construction; is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee, a delegate of the 15th National Assembly.
Before being approved to be appointed as Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Mr. Do Duc Duy held the following positions: Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province, Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.
