At the session, the People's Council of Vinh Long province announced the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on appointing Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Heads of Committees of the Provincial People's Council; Announcing the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council on appointing members of the Provincial People's Committee; Announcing the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council on approving Deputy Heads of Committees of the Provincial People's Council; Establishing Committees of the People's Council of Vinh Long province, term X, 2021 - 2026; Establishing the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the People's Council of Vinh Long province; issuing Resolutions and Plans to organize regular sessions of the People's Council of Vinh Long province in 2025.
At the meeting, the People's Council of Vinh Long province also approved the submission of the Provincial People's Committee on the establishment of specialized committees under the Provincial People's Committee.
Speaking at the opening session, Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Vinh Long province for the 2021 - 2026 term affirmed that in the past time, the Party Committee, government, army and people of the three provinces of Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long have made many efforts to overcome difficulties, united and highly unified in coordinating the development of projects, plans, preparing conditions and aspects of work ahead of schedule, and requirements set out in the implementation of the 2-level local government apparatus from July 1.
"The delegates promoted a sense of responsibility and democracy, carefully studied the documents, actively discussed and contributed opinions on issues of concern or had different opinions. The goal is to pass the contents of the session with the highest consensus and agreement, meeting practical requirements, political tasks and expectations of voters and people in the province", Mr. Dung emphasized.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - holds the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Vinh Long province for the 2021 - 2026 term.
Ms. Le Thi Thuy Kieu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee - holds the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Vinh Long province for the 2021 - 2026 term.
Appoint the following members to hold the position of Heads of the Committees of the People's Council of Vinh Long province for the 2021 - 2026 term:
1. Mr. Nguyen Van Tan holds the position of Head of the Legal Committee.
2. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Can holds the position of Head of the Economic - Budget Committee.
3. Ms. Than Thi Ngoc Kieu holds the position of Head of the Department of Culture and Society.
4. Mr. Thach Giau holds the position of Head of the Ethnic Committee.
