On the afternoon of February 20, the 10th term Ho Chi Minh City People's Council held its 21st session (special session) to conduct personnel work and review many important submissions.
Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Nguyen Thi Le read the nomination document for Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to be elected as Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, term 2021 - 2026.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council passed a resolution to dismiss Mr. Phan Van Mai from the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, after Mr. Phan Van Mai was elected by the National Assembly to hold the position of Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee.
Yesterday - February 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee announced the Politburo's decision on personnel work.
According to the decision, the Politburo transferred, assigned and appointed Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Secretary of the Long An Provincial Party Committee to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025.
Along with that, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee appointed Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, term 2020 - 2025.
At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc was also introduced to be elected by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc was born in 1968, from Long An province, with a Master's degree in Geology and a Bachelor's degree in Geology.
