On February 21, in Hanoi, the National Assembly Standing Committee held a ceremony to announce and hand over the Resolution approving the Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Committees.
The National Assembly Standing Committee also issued a Resolution to appoint Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office; Resolution approving members as full-time National Assembly deputies to work at the Ethnic Council and National Assembly Committees.
In addition, the Head of the National Assembly Office announced the Decision on transferring the status quo of civil servants of departments and units directly advising and assisting the work of the Ethnic Council and the National Assembly Committees to the Departments under the Ethnic Council and the National Assembly Committees.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh stated that the urgent preparation of contents related to the recent arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus as well as the organization of the Conference to announce and present the Resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee on personnel work has demonstrated the determination, efforts and hard work of agencies and units and has extremely profound political significance.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that up to now, the National Assembly has basically completed the reorganization of the apparatus of the National Assembly agencies and the National Assembly Office, contributing practically to the goal of completing the reorganization and streamlining of the apparatus of the political system in the coming time, ensuring quality, efficiency and progress according to the Central Government's plan.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also stated that before the arrangement, the National Assembly block had 14 agencies, after the arrangement there were 9 agencies, reducing 5 agencies, with a reduction rate of 37.5% of the structure of the agencies of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee.
Regarding departments and affiliated units, before the arrangement, there were 14 agencies, but there were 35 units serving the National Assembly Office, after the arrangement, there were 17 units, down 51.4%. This is a great and urgent effort of the advisory and support agencies - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly affirmed.
To ensure the work of the National Assembly and its agencies is carried out continuously, smoothly and effectively, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly requested that agencies urgently stabilize the organization, assign scientific, reasonable and clear work, continue to promote the sense of responsibility and working experience, the results achieved in the past time to continue implementing key tasks in the coming time.
With a large workload, high requirements, urgent progress, and short time, but with a wide range of activities and achievements in the past time, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh believes that in his new position, the collective leadership and standing of the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly Committees, the National Assembly Office, cadres and civil servants of the specialized departments of the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly Committees and the National Assembly Office will continue to unite, closely coordinate, promote experience, enthusiasm, intelligence, and the spirit of innovation and creativity, strive to excellently complete the tasks assigned by the Party and the State, and have many contributions to the overall results of the National Assembly and the country.
In the process of arranging and organizing the apparatus, the two agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Petition Committee and the Delegation Work Committee, were upgraded to 2 Committees of the National Assembly.
Accordingly, the Petition Committee changed its name to the Petition and Supervision Committee of the National Assembly; the Delegation Work Committee changed its name to the Delegation Work Committee.
