Mr. Truong Quoc Huy stopped participating in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and stopped holding the position of Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, and was given a leave of absence according to his personal wishes.

On the afternoon of January 9, at the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee headquarters, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee Nguyen Quang Duong announced the decision of the Politburo to transfer, assign, and appoint Mr. Pham Dai Duong, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, to hold the position of Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.

According to PV's source, Mr. Truong Quoc Huy has submitted a petition to the Politburo requesting to resign from his positions in Phu Tho province and resign from his duties as a National Assembly deputy for personal reasons.

In the afternoon of the same day, in an exchange with PV by phone, Mr. Truong Quoc Huy said that his health is having problems.

He said he is currently in emergency care at the hospital due to a stroke.

Mr. Truong Quoc Huy was born in 1970, from Ninh Binh, holds a Master's degree in Economic Management, Advanced Political Theory. Previously, he held many leadership positions in Ha Nam, Ninh Binh and was transferred to hold the position of Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee from September 2025.
