On July 30, the People's Council of Vinh Long province, term X, held a second session for the 2021-2026 term to review and decide on many important contents under its authority.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council said: After the restructuring of the apparatus, the two-level local government in Vinh Long has basically stabilized and come into operation, but there are still many difficulties, especially in arranging personnel, facilities and connecting the online public service system.
Therefore, this session is very important to remove obstacles and perfect mechanisms and policies to better serve people and businesses.
At the session, the Provincial People's Council reviewed and voted to pass 24 resolutions in many areas such as: socio-economic development, budget, public investment, organizational structure, policies to support cadres after merger, social security and issues related to land management, industrial promotion, education - health...
Some notable resolutions include: socio-economic development in 2025; budget adjustment after the merger; staff allocation; additional land recovery; investment policy for key projects; support for cadres from Tra Vinh and Ben Tre to transfer to Vinh Long.
The session also spent time on thematic supervision and personnel work under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.
