On April 19, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan led a working delegation to visit and work in the border district of Giang Thanh and the 20th Infantry Regiment, under Military Region 9, stationed in Kien Giang province.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Tien Hai and leaders of Kien Giang province, Ha Tien city and Giang Thanh district received the delegation.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, the working delegation and delegates offered incense at the Temple of Heroic Martyrs, People's Armed Forces and Volunteer Youth Sacrificiaries on Route 1C; presented 90 gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy families, poor households, and children in difficult circumstances in Giang Thanh district.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan expressed her deep affection for the border area of Giang Thanh, where many cadres, soldiers and people from different periods have heroically sacrificed their blood and bones, and made efforts to make very glorious feats in the resistance war against France, against the US and the southwestern border war. Nearly 1,300 martyrs sacrificed their lives on the legendary route 1C.
The Vice President emphasized that 2025 is the last year of the term, a very special year, the Party and State have had very important policies and decisions to develop the country, must accelerate economic development to 8% in 2025, to prepare the premise for the next term, which is double-digit growth.
In particular, performing the very important task of streamlining, organizing the apparatus, merging administrative boundaries to create new development conditions for the country, entering a new era of the nation.
