On March 9, the working delegation of the Sub-Committee for Ensuring Security, Order and Social Safety under the National Election Council, led by Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly - worked with the Ca Mau Provincial Election Steering Committee.
Reporting to the working delegation, Ca Mau province said that it has established an Election Steering Committee of 41 members headed by the Provincial Party Secretary. The Provincial People's Committee also established 5 National Assembly Deputy Election Committees and 18 Provincial People's Council Deputy Election Committees.

At the commune level, localities have completed the establishment of the Election Committee and 1,604 election teams to serve the election organization work.
Regarding personnel, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province has agreed on the list of 23 people who meet the criteria for running for National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, including 5 people introduced by the Central Government and 18 people introduced by the province, for voters to elect 13 deputies.
For the Provincial People's Council, the list of candidates includes 127 people, including 2 self-nominated people, to elect 73 delegates. At the commune level, the list of candidates is 2,482 people, to elect 1,469 delegates.
Regarding security and order assurance, Colonel Tran Van Thi - Deputy Director of Ca Mau Provincial Police - said that the local situation is basically stable. Protection plans have been developed, and the police force will closely coordinate with the military to ensure security and order throughout the election process.
Major General Nguyen Van Hung - Commander of the Military Command of Ca Mau province - said that plans to ensure security, social order and safety are ready. Preparations for early elections at Hon Khoai and Hon Chuoi islands have also been planned.

Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong highly appreciated the proactiveness of Ca Mau province in the election preparation work.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly requested localities to continue to do a good job of contacting voters, mobilizing people to participate in elections and comply with the provisions of law. At the same time, fully grasp the directives of the Central Government, and properly implement the motto "Party elects, people elect".
He also noted that functional agencies need to ensure that the summary of election results is quick and accurate; and not be subjective in ensuring security and order. Localities also need to pay attention to creating conditions for offshore fishermen to exercise their rights and obligations to vote.
Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai said that the locality determines that successfully organizing the election is an important political task. The province will continue to review and complete the preparation stages to ensure that the election takes place in accordance with regulations, safely and effectively.
Previously, the working delegation inspected the election preparation work in Dat Mui commune and visited and encouraged the team of engineers and workers of Corps 12 under the Ministry of National Defense who are constructing transport projects serving the development of Dat Mui and Hon Khoai areas.
