On the morning of March 7, the inspection and supervision delegation of the Sub-Committee for Ensuring Security, Order, and Social Safety under the National Election Council, led by Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Member of the National Election Council, Head of the Sub-Committee, came to work at the Military Command (CHQS) of An Giang province.
Receiving and working with the delegation were Major General Nguyen Van Nganh, Commander of An Giang Provincial Military Command, along with comrades in the Party Committee, Provincial Military Command and representatives of relevant agencies and units.
At the working session, the Military Command of An Giang province gave a general report on the results of military and local defense tasks in the past time. Accordingly, the Party Committee and the Military Command of the province proactively advised the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to lead and direct the comprehensive and effective implementation of local defense and military tasks; maintain strict combat readiness duty, closely coordinate with forces to firmly grasp the situation in the area, especially the border line. Organize training with correct and sufficient content and programs, ensuring quality; build a strong militia and self-defense forces, reserve mobilization forces. Effectively implement military recruitment work, military rear policies and mass mobilization work, helping people prevent and combat natural disasters and epidemics.

Regarding the task of ensuring security, order, and social safety to serve elections, the Provincial Military Command has developed and implemented specific plans and plans; closely coordinated with the Police and functional forces, ensuring to maintain political stability and social order and safety in the area.
Concluding the working session, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit of responsibility and achievements of the An Giang Provincial Military Command. The comrade emphasized that An Giang is an area with an important strategic position in the Southwest region, with a long border adjacent to the Kingdom of Cambodia, a terrain of both plains and hills, densely populated, with many religions and ethnic groups living together, posing a potential risk of complex security and order issues.
The comrade requested the Provincial Military Command to continue to promote its core role in advising and coordinating forces to firmly grasp the situation, proactively forecast and effectively handle situations. Review, supplement, and complete protection plans, ensuring absolute security and safety in polling areas, contributing to the successful organization of elections in the province.
