The Deputy Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Justice to continue to inspect and resolve the case of appraisal, auction and the judgment enforcement process of River Hotel in Thai Nguyen.

The Government Office has just issued Document No. 9241/VPCP-V.I conveying the direction of Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau regarding complaints and reflections on the organization of auctions and judgment enforcement for River Hotel (No. 417 Quang Trung Street, Quyet Thang Ward, Thai Nguyen).

Previously, the Ministry of Justice had Official Dispatch No. 660/BC-BTP dated August 4, 2026 and Official Dispatch No. 695/BC-BTP dated August 15, 2026 reporting to the Prime Minister on resolving the petition of Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Dang - Director of Huy Hung Tourism Hotel Co., Ltd.

However, Huy Hung Tourism Hotel Co., Ltd., represented by Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Dang, continued to file a petition requesting competent authorities to consider and resolve the case.

In Document No. 9241/VPCP-V.I, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau directed the Ministry of Justice to preside over, coordinate, and work with relevant agencies to continue to inspect, review, and clarify the contents of complaints, denunciations, reflections, and recommendations of Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Dang related to the valuation, auction of assets and the judgment enforcement process to have measures to resolve them in accordance with the law, respond to citizens, and report to the Prime Minister before September 20, 2026.

According to the case file, Huy Hung Tourism Hotel Co., Ltd. was established on June 5, 2016 (Address at: 417 Quang Trung, group 9, Quyet Thang ward, Thai Nguyen) with Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Dang as Director. At the end of 2017, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Dang built the River Hotel at the above address.

By 2020, the hotel was completed and put into operation. Because the COVID-19 pandemic occurred at this time, and it lasted for many years, the hotel business situation was disrupted and faced many difficulties.

At the time of building the hotel, due to lack of investment capital, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Dang borrowed capital from the bank for nearly 43.5 billion VND. The collateral is the River Hotel, with an appraisal value of nearly 70.5 billion VND.

Due to unfavorable business conditions, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Dang agreed to let functional agencies organize an auction of assets to repay bank debts.

However, in 2025, Thai Nguyen Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement announced the hotel valuation results to organize an auction of just over 41 billion VND. River Hotel was then successfully auctioned to an individual with an address in Phu Dien ward, Hanoi City with an amount of over 41.8 billion VND.
