Internal affairs work must be correct, accurate, timely and humane
On the morning of January 5, in Hanoi, the Central Internal Affairs Commission held a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the traditional day of the Internal Affairs sector (January 5, 1966 - January 5, 2026) and receive the Ho Chi Minh Order for the second time.
Speaking to direct at the Anniversary Ceremony, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that over the past 60 years, the Party's Internal Affairs sector has always maintained its role as the Party's specialized agency, being one of the particularly important pillars, contributing to maintaining the discipline and order of the Party, the laws of the State and the people's trust.

The General Secretary pointed out that our country is entering a new stage of development with the desire to rise strongly, while facing many intertwined difficulties and challenges.
The requirement to build a clean and strong Party and political system; build a socialist rule-of-law state of the people, by the people, for the people; fight against corruption, wastefulness, negativity; firmly protect national security, maintain social order and safety; create a safe and healthy environment for the country to develop quickly and sustainably is posing very heavy tasks for the Party's internal affairs sector.
The General Secretary requested that in the new era of development, the Party's Internal Affairs sector must continue to promote glorious traditions; constantly innovate thinking, methods and ways of doing things; raise the level of strategic advisory work; firmly play the role of "football" for the Party in the fields of internal affairs, prevention and combat of corruption, wastefulness, negativity and judicial reform.
The General Secretary requested the Party's Internal Affairs sector to thoroughly grasp the spirit: doing internal affairs work is not only right, but must be accurate; not only timely, but must go ahead; not only strict, but also humane.
The Party's Internal Affairs sector improves the quality of research, forecasting and strategic advisory work. It is necessary to deeply understand the goal of internal affairs work is to maintain political stability, social order and safety, maintain "warm inside, peaceful outside", best serve the task of socio-economic development, building a clean and strong Party and political system; proactively detect, research, and advise on timely handling of major, new, and difficult issues; focus on advising on concretizing and institutionalizing guidelines and viewpoints on internal affairs work, preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, negativity and judicial reform in the Document of the 14th Party Congress; accurately and accurately identify key stages and breakthrough points to effectively realize the "four no" motto in preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; in building and perfecting the socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam in the new period.
Preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity regularly and continuously
The General Secretary requested the Party's internal affairs sector to advise on promoting and creating stronger, more effective, and more sustainable changes in the work of preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity. This is a strategic and long-term task, which must be carried out persistently, regularly, continuously, non-stop, without interruption; absolutely not doing it in a movement style.

The Party's Internal Affairs sector must be the embodiment of the Party's determination in the fight against corruption, wastefulness, and negativity "no forbidden zones, no exceptions", "every person is equal before the law", and is a symbol of consolidating people's trust in the Party, State and regime.
Promote the role of the Standing Agency, truly being the "center", "connector", " focal point" in advising, regulating, and coordinating; and at the same time, attach importance to preventing and combating wastefulness to liberate and effectively use resources for national development.
The General Secretary noted that he especially valued the work of building a clean, strong, and truly honest Party Internal Affairs sector; building a team of loyal, steadfast, politically determined cadres and civil servants who are diligent, honest, and impartial; have the courage to protect the right, resolutely fight against the wrong; have in-depth knowledge of the field of internal affairs, preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, negativity and judicial reform; truly be a reliable support for the Party and a solid bridge between the Party and the people.
