On December 1, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a conference of the Government Party Committee on summarizing the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity during the 13th National Party Congress term.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh stated that the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress has identified one of the key tasks of the term: Fighting against bureaucracy, corruption, waste, negativity, group interests, self-evolutionary manifestations, self-transformation within the Party.
One of the bright spots of the term is the task of building and rectifying the Party, including the fight against corruption, negativity and waste.
The Government Party Committee plays a very important role and contribution in organizing the fight against corruption, in resolutely organizing inspection activities and strictly handling corruption, negativity, and wasteful acts, in accordance with Party regulations and State laws with the spirit of "no forbidden areas and no exceptions".
Implementing Plan No. 65 of the Central Steering Committee, the Government Party Committee has summarized this work from grassroots Party organizations and held a conference to summarize the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity during the 13th Congress term to aim at the National Conference on summarizing the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.
Thereby, it also demonstrates the serious and highly responsible spirit of the Government in resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption, waste and negativity.

The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister stated that the Conference needs to objectively and comprehensively assess the results achieved; at the same time, clearly identify the limitations, difficulties, obstacles and causes in the implementation of anti-corruption, waste and negativity work.
From there, learn lessons, propose key tasks and solutions to improve the effectiveness of waste prevention and control in the coming time.
In that spirit, the Permanent Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the delegates focus on discussing 5 main contents.
Firstly, regarding the leadership and direction of the Government Party Committee and the Prime Minister in implementing the organization of the implementation of the Party's policies, legal regulations on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; especially the conclusions of the Central Steering Committee and the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee.
Second, evaluate the work of building and perfecting institutions to prevent and combat corruption, waste and negativity; inspection, examination, detection and handling of corruption, waste and negativity.
Third, the work of managing, supervising, and implementing mechanisms and policies regulating personnel work; implementing regulations on power control, preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity.
Fourth, the results of implementing key and breakthrough tasks and solutions to improve the effectiveness of this work; especially in handling projects and works that are behind schedule, stagnant, prolonged, or at risk of causing waste or negativity.
Fifth, the work of propaganda, education, building a culture of integrity, no corruption, waste and negativity; promoting the role and responsibility of media agencies and the people in preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity and international cooperation on corruption prevention and control.
