Former Secretary of the Secretariat's wife Le Hong Anh passed away

HCMC - Excellent Doctor and Physician Nguyen Kim Thu - Former Standing Member of the Secretariat Le Hong Anh passed away on the afternoon of July 20, at the age of 73.

The information was announced by the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of July 21.

Excellent Doctor and Physician Nguyen Kim Thu is the wife of former Politburo member and former Standing member of the Secretariat Le Hong Anh.

Ms. Nguyen Kim Thu's coffin was discovered at her private house, address 525A Doan Huu Trung Street, An Khanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly in An Phu Ward, Thu Duc City).

The inauguration ceremony took place at 10:30 a.m. on July 21. The visitation ceremony started at 12:00 on the same day. The memorial service will be held at 8:00 a.m. on July 24, after which her coffin will be buried at Ho Chi Minh City Cemetery (Linh Xuan Ward).

Doctor, Meritorious Doctor Nguyen Kim Thu was born in 2019, in Kien Giang province (now An Giang province).

Since 1968, she has held many roles in youth, women's, agricultural organizations and local health work during the resistance war.

After 1975, she continued to work in the health sector, working at medical units in Kien Giang, teaching at the Provincial Medical School and studying to improve her skills. She graduated as a medical doctor from Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 1987.

Since 1991, she has worked at the Obstetrics Department, Kien Giang General Hospital, holding the positions of Head of Obstetrics Department, Party Committee member, Secretary of the Department Party Cell.

With his contributions to the revolutionary cause and the health sector, Doctor and excellent doctor Nguyen Kim Thu was awarded many noble awards by the Party and State: First Class Liberation Medal, Second Class Victory Medal, Third Class Resistance Medal against the US, Second Class Independence Medal and 55-year Party membership badge.
