On January 17, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics attended the reception to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025) organized by the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam. Also attending the ceremony were representatives of leaders of ministries, sectors, localities of Vietnam and friendly personalities, businesses, international students... of Vietnam and China.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang expressed that over the past 75 years of establishing diplomatic relations, although the Vietnam-China relationship has had ups and downs, solidarity, friendship and cooperation are still the main streams of the relationship between the two countries; affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam consider developing relations with China a strategic choice, a top priority in Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification; emphasized that the stable and sustainable development of bilateral relations is in line with the practical interests of the people of the two countries, beneficial to cooperation, prosperous development of the region and the world.
Member of the Politburo, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang welcomed the positive cooperation results achieved by the two countries in 2024; said that under the regular guidance and strategic orientation of the senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries, the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership has been strengthened and given new impetus, achieving many outstanding and important results. Political trust is increasingly solid; security and defense cooperation is increasingly substantive; economic, trade and investment cooperation is increasingly developing strongly and effectively; people-to-people exchanges are taking place vigorously; We believe that under the care and direction of senior leaders, together with the determination of all levels, sectors, localities and people of the two countries, the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future will continue to develop in depth, stably and sustainably in the long term, for the happiness of the people of the two countries, for the cause of peace and progress of mankind.
On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, sent New Year 2025 and traditional Tet At Ty greetings to the people of Vietnam and China.
Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Ha Vi highly appreciated the important and historic achievements the two countries have made over the past 75 years; emphasizing that the traditional friendship of “comrades and brothers” personally built by Chairman Mao Zedong and President Ho Chi Minh is the source and solid political foundation for the development of bilateral relations.
Ambassador Ha Vi affirmed that the Party and Government of China attach importance to developing relations with the Party and State of Vietnam; are willing to join Vietnam in inheriting the past, opening up the future, and implementing the important common perceptions of the high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and countries; strengthen friendly exchanges, deepen substantive cooperation, and strive to promote the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the Community of Shared Future between Vietnam and China, which has strategic significance, to further develop, becoming a model of peaceful, friendly, and mutually developing neighborly relations, for the practical interests of the people of the two countries, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
