The National Assembly Chairwoman requested to strengthen the management of complaints and denunciations by digital transformation and application of artificial intelligence (AI).

Building a methodical and synchronous email management system

On February 24, in Hanoi, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man visited and assigned tasks to a number of agencies of the National Assembly on the occasion of the Binh Ngo New Year.

Speaking at the working session with the Committee for Petitions and Supervision, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated the comprehensive and outstanding results that the Committee has achieved in the past time.

Regarding tasks for 2026, the National Assembly Chairwoman said that legislative work, supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country must continue to be strongly innovated to meet the requirements of new tasks. In which, the work of people's petitions and supervision needs to be improved.

The Committee needs to proactively grasp the situation early and remotely through a multi-dimensional information system. Through this, the Committee must effectively exploit the widespread network, including National Assembly delegations in localities, provincial-level People's Councils, commune-level People's Councils, and wards nationwide to promptly detect complex and potential problems at the grassroots level.

The Committee needs to strengthen the management of complaints and denunciations by digital transformation and application of artificial intelligence (AI).

The National Assembly Chairwoman also requested to build a methodical and synchronous email management system, capable of digitizing, classifying, and monitoring the processing process accurately and transparently.

The clearer, shorter, and more specific the law, the easier it is to implement.

At the working session with the National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Committee, the National Assembly Chairwoman expressed her impression of the results that this Committee has achieved in 2025.

Regarding key tasks in 2026, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man proposed that the Committee should further improve the quality of appraisal of laws and resolutions.

If we have done well, we must do even better. The clearer, more concise, and specific the law, the easier it is to implement. Issues related to human rights, civil and criminal fields must be strictly regulated; while socio-economic, national defense, security, and foreign affairs issues need to be flexible and suitable to reality" - the National Assembly Chairwoman noted.

The National Assembly Chairwoman requested that the Committee closely monitor and firmly grasp the world, regional and domestic situation, proactively forecast and advise promptly. It is necessary to monitor, identify, and fight against distorted and sabotageous arguments in cyberspace.

In particular, it is necessary to ensure security, order, and social safety for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, not to be passive or surprised.

Emphasizing the necessity and urgency of applying digital transformation and artificial intelligence AI in legislative work, supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested the Committee to continue to pay attention to this task.

Congress must take the lead in digital transformation

Also on the same day, at the working session with the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment, the National Assembly Chairwoman noted that the Committee has a new atmosphere, new belief, and a very clear spirit of innovation.

In her role as the focal agency, the National Assembly Chairwoman was particularly impressed with the development of the "Digital Education for All" program and the deployment of the National Assembly 2.0 app, applying AI.

This is a breakthrough step, if digital transformation and technology are not applied, the National Assembly cannot handle such a large volume of work as in the past. “However, AI is just a tool, and people are the decisive factor,” the National Assembly Chairman said.

Regarding tasks in 2026, the National Assembly Chairwoman proposed to promote the intelligence of the full-time National Assembly deputies who are intellectuals, scientists... in the field of legislation, supreme supervision related to the field of science and environmental technology; strengthen in-depth consulting, policy criticism based on science and practice.

Highly appreciating the fact that the "Digital Education for All" movement has been transferred to the Provincial and Commune People's Councils, however, the National Assembly Chairwoman said that this is only the first step. The Committee needs to continue to study to upgrade this application. "The National Assembly must take the lead in the issue of digital transformation, digitization, and the application of artificial intelligence AI" - the National Assembly Chairwoman emphasized.
